| wait for the wake to get bigger due to the oncoming waves, hit the peak of the bigger wake jsut like you would for any other jump, edge in hardaand through the wake while straightening the legs as you come to the top of the wake. |

you don't need a very big cut when you hit a d-up _________________ UCSB Waterski Team |

Try waiting for the 3rd roller to hit the boat, and charge. Then adjust your speed into the wake or your distance from the wake to match the timing issue. Try to keep it consistent if you can. _________________ Hold up....Wait a minute.... Let me put some pimpin in it! mmmmph |

This is how i hit my d-ups, im regular so for a heelside, i cut out about 10 feet toeside and watch as the rollers form, i go for 2nd or 3rd, when i spot the one i want, i wait til its almost 7 feet or so away and then charge in and stand up tall at the tip, you want to ride up the inside of it, not up the side of it... what i mean by this is that you want to be looking forward at riding up it the crest of the roller, not sideways to ride up the side and jump off, you practically want to be going up the inside between the roller in front of it, this is how i hit them and get the most air. ride some and put some video up and when i get some, ill show u what i mean so u can better get an idea of how im trying to explain it _________________ Broke, Unsponsored, Carless, Broken donor cycle, 18 credit hours... and i drive to class wheeliein my sisters 49cc scooter... yea im bawlin |

Hey, alafiaboarder , I live in TAMPA and I'm new to wakeboarding but picking it up quick. I snowboard so I am not having a big problem. I am looking for someone to ride with tho. Do you know of anyone who rides out here or do you have a spot to ride where I can join? Riverview's not too far from me. Where do you ride?? _________________ Mellow out........man |

| I just hit my first D up last week. I just waited until the boat pounded through the double up and then I started to cut in and by chance I hit the third and got launched. I think it is easiest to wait for the boat to go through the rollers then start to cut and eye the roller you will hit. Some do it differently. Just my .02 |

I've only hit a few but what worked best was to ride in-between the second and third roller. By doing that, you can see where and when the double up is coming and then adjust your speed. _________________ go big or go home |
