I'm having problems learning the heelside frontflip. I start the rotation great, with a hard kick off my back foot. However halfway through the trick i get pulled around to blind, lose the handle and smack the water facing away from the boat. Anyone have this problem? I'll try to get video

sounds like you are letting go with one, hold on with both hands and lock your elbows to your hips to help keep the right rotation

I usually load my front foot as I pop of the wake, which usually starts the rotation...The only other advice i could give is hold onto the rope with both hands! Very Happy

haha i tried a HS Front 2 Fakie and i hit a Roll to Revert... i landed and was like...wtf so i tried a HS front and i got it around but somehow ended up landing like perpendicular to the way i was going. I then tried it again with a tailgrab attempt and that helped my landin, i still popped the handle but landing with my front hand felt easier. I just lean into it hard sideways like a cartwheel and push off on my back foot and it goes around...most of the time Cool

Ok I just learned them and am still having trouble knocking the frantrum but here are the things that helped me. Take a hard progressive cut into the wake with the handle in fairly close(elbows touching each hip) with 75% of your weight on your backfoot. As you pop off the wake put your front ear to your front shoulder and keep the handle locked equally between your hips(by your bellybutton) you will rotate and just make sure you dont land stiff legged or your ACL is toast. Hope it helps, Hunter

im trying to learn these too. i seem to get stalled out on the rotation. do you leave the wake on your toes or heels? and do you release the trick directly towards the boat or in the direction you are riding?

alanp, Edge through the wake and take it big. Pop like a normal big w2w jump give a small pull on the handle and put your ear to your shoulder(front one) and you will rotate.

I edge all the way through the wake and take off on your heels, almost like a raley (which gives it that frantrum effect, but I control it and I like the way it loox, gives a little style) with my weight pretty much evenly distributed and I wait until I'm in the air to throw it. Just put that ear to your shoulder and hold on with both hands. Hunter (k-wood kid) is right on the stiff legged landing tho, I almost did that the other day, I was lucky and no damage, but I felt it in the landing.
