...running down the outside of the tower. I have a tower with speakers, and in order to remove the tower, I need to figure out a way to disconnect the audio wires, to make it easy and waterproof. I was hoping that someone has ran into the same problem, and has an easy idea to fix it. My idea was to install a grommet on the hole (where the wires enter the boat), then on the inside of the boat, splice the wires and put male/female gold audio connectors on the wires. My only concern with this way, is, will it decrease the audio quality.

If anyone has any suggestions...can you please help.

Thanks,
Liberty

You wont loose any audio quality at all. I would just go to radio shack and get some type of quick disconnect plug or something. I have a 2002 X-Star and there is a light at the top of my tower that has an exposed quick dissconnet that is waterproof right where you can take the tower off. You might want to look at your local boat dealer. They should have a waterproof plug you can get that is similar to mine.
