dude that sucks. go see a doctor and make sure that doesn't get infected. although it's pretty hard to get an infection in your mouth...

Looks good
That looks like a stitch or two is needed, or you'll have a funky lip
(which the babes might like)

| yeah my friend did the exact same thing, only instead of his mouth, his knee hit his cheek and shattered it into 11 pieces. he needed reconstructive surgery to fix it but he's ok now...but i think he has a wakeboarding phobia

i pulled of the dreaded knee to facial re-arrangment. Put my knee through my cheek, smashed lots of little bones + cheekbone. Needed surgery to tidy up the mess and have some titanium inserted in my cheek to hold it all together.... happy to report that it certainly hasnt given me a wakeboarding phobia although i can see why it would...

nice work, I too, have taken a knee to my face, resulting in a shaddered nose and 12 stitches from a slice to my forehead from my helmet. Had reconstructive surgery to straighten it all back out. Surprisingly didn't hurt too much. It was more of a numb feeling.
I ride a little more mellow now days.

Craig-R, The good old lower orbital blow out.... got one playn soccer in college. I have 3 plates in my face.....
BurntOrangeWake, I always thought that was funny, can't really get an infection in your mouth but you can pass germs and disease back and forth that way... ODD to say the least...
I busted a tooth once when I slammed my jaw shut on a d-up crash... now I don't yell "OH CHIT!" I just shut my mouth and get ready for impact...

I did that too, but not as bad I have to say.
Last November, with riding at Air-Time in Thailand, while trying to learn tantrum,I fell right face front on the handle. The nose bled just a little bit, and the upper lip was cut inside, and rinsed with the lake water, and then tap water.
It got quite swallow for a week or so, and then I worried because it took strange shapes in the inside and there was a hard bit in the middle.
It appeared it was not normal... I still have the hard bit inside the upper lip... and can't help to touch it every time I think about trying that tantrum again
I hope you will heal quickly...

the handle shouldn't be anywhere near your face. keep the handle out away from your body when you turn backside to the wake...

J_DOGG, it has something to do w/ the enzymes that exist in your mouth to break down food. Supposedly if you left a morsel of food in your mouth for long enough it would dissolve without you ever chewing. Never tried it. I enjoy doing other things besides eating so I move past that part as quickly as I can... But those enzymes are what kill off the infectious bacteria before they can set it the wound... I think...
