just wondering what everyone thought about wakeboarding with a hydrofoil thing? is it more fun? harder?

the sit down hydrofoiling looks pretty lame. I saw one picture of a stand up one...not sure what to think about that. I will have to download some videos to see what it looks like. I Dont really see the point, tho. Is it for people who cant wakeboard?? Cool

naa i can wakeboard, just about, i saw a video and the hydrofoil thing looked interesting but the bloke wasnt sitting down, it looked a bit like wakeboarding but not on the water!

Just curious, what happens if you let go of the rope and it gets tangled in that foil thing? The only reason I ask is it kinda looks like that thing has a seatbelt Shocked

Lame ???? post a pic of your air ....... HA HA !! Its fun to me, thats all that matters. I use a velcro rope system on the tower , if it the foil gets in the rope it will tear loose. You always want to wear your seat belt, and foot stays........
www.foilfreaks.com for some really big air. Most people can not afford the $2000.00 to buy a ski !! Thats why its lame.

Definitely mad air. I think the big problem most people on this site have with it is just how strange it looks. Doesn't look as natural as wakeboarding. Looks to me like it would be fun to try.

I've tried it before and thought that it was actually pretty fun... although I still like wakeboarding a lot better.
