i'm just getting into this wakeboard thing... I got a board w/bindings from a kid at college for 100 dollars, its a Hyperlite Fluid 137. While mailing it home to myself when leaving college, it got damaged, but I have 200 dollar insurance on it... It has damage on the noses, but needs repair. Is it worth cashing in for the 200 dollars and buying a new one, and if so what kind of board? I still have the bindings and fins if I do cash it in.

Thanks
Sam

If I were you I'd just cash in for the $200. You can get a nicer board that for at most $250. It's not worth the hassel of getting it repaired. If you get a new board, get the Liquid Force Evo. It's a great beginer to intermediate board and you can get it for $250 at www.barts.com. GOOD LUCK! Glasses

Yea I wouldnt ride that board mate. Even a little chip and water can start leaking in and soaking up into the board, then your left with something that has a real heavy end and you cant ride it. And the damage will only get worse will the usual wear-and-tear on a board. Take the $200 man, its an old board and you couldnt sell it for that new. If the bindings are good keep them and set yourself up on a new board, go down the local shop and see what they have on offer, talk to them and they will sort you out. Wink
