There are a few posts about this topic, if you try a search you might pull up some good tried and tested methods.
Personally, I would try to get em up on a beginners boom, they stand less chance of catching an edge, and someone can instruct them at close quarters easily.
If you can't get access to a boom, start em in the water, but keep the speeds real low. Keep the sessions short, i.e don't drag em round for an hour.
If they are already kneeboarding then they will not be as scared of the water as a complete beginner, but never the less, make sure you put the board on em and turn them face down in the water while you are beside them, and teach them how to flip over onto their back. You'd be amazed at how scared kids get the first time they land like this.
I've worded this post as if they are young kids, i.e 6-10. If they are 15 or something just ignore me, i'm a fool........ |

| steve d, Sounds like you have the boat? I'd suggest posting in the "find a pull" days and times your going out, and where. Typically, people share costs with the boat provider, you might want to say "teach us the basics, and ride for free" |

steve d, doesnt sound like these two have helped you out much... If you have somebody that can teach your kids try the open water start...If they are older possibly try the dock start...The dock start is somewhat difficult to master however _________________ ~~ "Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save." ~~
