check this out with the new quicktime 7

this is a 1.6 mb file
i played the same file compressed with a qucktime 6.5 (its 3.6mb) and this H.264 file looks better!
the only thing that sucks is if you dropped 30 bucks for 6.0-6.5 pro. you have to pay again for 7...lame.

Or you can wait and get it free with the FCP 5 upgrade I believe. It's great that Apple has a new codec that's comparable (or possibly better) then WMV for compressed content. That was one area where I felt Microsoft got way ahead over the last few years.
