you can learn behind an i/o.
you might want to make a slightly intelligent post if you want good information. we do not know what you want to know unless you tell us in a coherent, well thought out post. |

| newtothesport, Not at all. In fact it might even be better because if you had "real wakeboard boat" then the wake would be alot harder to jump. But as you get more advamced definately think about getting a "real wakeboard boat" . |

It really depends on the I/O. Generally a 20 foot I/0 with a v8 has the potential to produce a good wake when weighted and trim adjusted.
If you have a 17 foot 4 banger, good luck with that.
I've got a 20 foot larson running about 900 pounds and the wake is great. Ohh, and I spent a lot less than I would have had to on a NEWER inboard. |

| I have a 18 ft. I/O and it throws a very nice wake for an I/O. I bought the boat because it fit my budget at the time and allowed me to get out on the water without having to bum a ride all the time. Now that I am a better rider I would like to upgrade to a V drive and truly have a wake specific boat. With that being said I still love my current boat and have a lot of fun riding behind it still. I have had great riders on it and they all throw the same inverts and such that they can on a wake specific boat. Therefore get whatever you can afford and just have a good time. That is what wakeboarding is really all about anyways. |
