Ok, so I’ve got people situated in the boat, however am still getting wash over one side of the wake. I’ve got triple ballast to work with.

Does anyone know what the combination is to compensate for wake wash? Fill Port or Starboard ballast to compensate for Port wash? Front ballast is full as well.

I’m going out again this weekend and I can find out then, I just wanted to see if I could save the trial and error time if any of you guys already know. Wink

Thanks man,

Rheyzar –

Rheyzar, how fast are you going?

Do you have the cooler full?

Do you have a lot of stuff in your compartments?

Keep in mind that you, your sub, and the cooler are all on one side, so you will need to counterbalance to offset.

We don't have wash problems unless we are out of balance in the 215, so you may need to do something as simple as shift weight a little.

chavez, running about 22 MPH.

Cooler is full, compartments are full of vests, a ski or two and misc. gear.

I'll fill the Port ballast as counterbalance and make sure everyone is seated accordingly.

Oh, I'll also try to get a still of the face plant I landed last weekend at Camanche. Hesitated for just a split sec and caught that edge. Laughing Classic.

Rheyzar, it's the cooler, driver, and the subwoofer - I am almost positive. Do exactly what you said, fill the port ballast a bit or take a little out of the starboard ballast.

You could also counterweight with a sandbag, lead, or similar.

Fill everything up completely, then move people around until it's good. People are movable ballast used for tweaking the wake.

Ralph, the way it sounds he doesn't have the ballast loaded at all, so shame on him! Laughing

chavez, lol. Oh no, all three were full and people were directed accordingly. I don't think I took the sub and cooler into consideration though. Sounds like that is where my ticket is.

Jeff206, I asked those questions because I am intimately familiar with the Sanger V215.

Essentially you are correct though, it really isn't that complicated! Laughing

Yep, if Chavez told me that I needed to mix 3.5 egg yolks with one stick of butter, then pour the mixture evenly over the teak deck in order to get the best possible wake outta my V215, I'd be beatin eggs. Laughing

Rheyzar, if the teak was hot enough, that might make a good omelet! Laughing
