Ok, I know this kid who has a nice, smooth, cement sea wall around his house. It has parts that are a foot off the water and other parts are like 2 feet. I was wondering if you can grind cement on a wakeskate, like a skateboard, or if you need to wax it or not. I need to know if anyone has tried this, b/c I'm probally gonna find the balls to try it soon and I don't want to get sent back to the ER again right now.

sounds kinda hard, you would probably need to wax it but idont know, why dont you just wet it, wet your board, try pushing it on it, to see if it even slides when you push it, then you will know, andif it doesnt try waxing it....good luck....dont kill yourself Wink

Just stick some PVC pipe, or even better a metal rail onto it and grind that.

wax it down. i wouldn't wax it down as much as you would a curb for a skateboard though. since your going a lot faster you won't really need to.

i don't see why it wouldn't work the same as a skateboard. just wax it up and make sure you pretend use it to make it slicker or you could get seriously messed up if you screwed up

Notice in the new wakeboarding mag it doesn't show whether or not he rode off. It just shows him about to boarslide the cement dock or w/e it is.

i like that pic of horrell doing the dock start, or i guess slider start, off of the towable slider. that would be so much fun to try sometime.

i mean pushin as in to get the wax to flatten out, spread a little and slide better. cause i find if you simulate (a little) the slidin action it works the wax in and it ends up slidin better.

I like Robinsons idea, i would rather mount a PVC pipe on it or something. Cement and your face usually dont agree at high speeds, and it might mess up the bottom of the wakeskate.
