Video Post help

Hey Folks, Alright, either I suck at searching or it's never been asked(highly unlikely). I can't figure out what format my video should be saved as. I used Adobe Premier 6.5 and am not sure what to save it as. Anyone have some input?? Thanks a ton. Please walk me through the whole thing.

Depends what you want to do with it. If you want to save a full rez copy of your finished work then export it as a self-contained uncompressed AVI DV 720X486 file. If you want it for the web or DVD then you would select the appropriate codec and adjust the size/compression to taste. Most NLE's save your complete project as a reference file which points to all your raw footage and renders. This saves space on your drives. The export command creats a standalone version. Start your project by picking the full rez AVI DV codec via preferences/presets as your default for all captures and other operations and it should export back to that automatically.
