|
|
I went out yesterday and finally figured out how to get off my 2005 Ultra Suctions!!!!!!!! But the problem was i tore my hamstring back in february so i has gotten back to probably 80% healthy but the second time i went to take a set i fell weird (JUST JUMPING OFF ANOTHER BOATS WAVES) and twisted my right leg real bad!!!!! Now i can still walk and jog decently but when i try to squat down and run it pulls really hard!!?? But has anyone had the same problem???? I went to pro therapy and they told me they dont feel a tear it is just a flexibility problem but i can still bend and stretch that leg fine so is it possible i have just strained it real bad or pulled it and if so what should i do to help it heal faster!!!!!!! I dont know if i can take not being able to wakeboard much longer!!!!!!!
Thanks |

Nothing is going to help any muscle strain heal faster.
You just have to go with R.I.C.E , Gentle ROM/Stretching and easing back into activity.
You put yourself at risk by going back to full activity with only 80% of your Hamstring strength.
It's going to be a chronic problem if you don't spend the time to heal properly now. But that's your choice. _________________
8824, dude - I suck. You were right.
. |

| Sit in a hot bathtub every night for 15 minutes to warm up the muscle and immediately after that get someone to help you stretch it out. Hold for 20 seconds each time. Eventually you will get back the flexibility which will also help prevent the same type of injury again. You might also want to try weight training. Use light weights with many repititions. I wouldn't start the weights until you heal more. |

If you have excess get muscle stim on the hammy.
Dragonlady8, hit the nail on the head: RICE, range of motion and stretching, ice for the first 48 hours or so and then heat.
Hamstrings are a tough one to nurse back. Take it slow and don't push it or it will take twice as long. |
