| I have the tendency to never want to let go with my lead handl. Why is that? I cant seem to get myself to let go with my lead hand and grab. I only do like tail grabs and indys and stuff. Should I just go out and try really hard to let go with that hand or is there some kind of technical junk to it? And also...whats the first things I should know before I go into trying a backroll or a tantrum? |

kingofthehoop, the first thing you should know about the backroll or tantrum is to read the trick tips found from the main page.
There's no trick to letting go with your lead hand you just have to do it. It feels a little weird at first but it's something you have to get used to. It will help if you hold the handle in your rear hand close to your lead hip. You're never going to learn if you don't force yourself. Just do it. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

| welll on tantrums you dont let go with your lead hand, you let go with your trailing hand. and just force yourself to do it, and be agressive because if your not aggresive you'll get pulled over sometimes wen you land. |

You just have to make yourself do it. One of the best ways that helped me some to do it when trying to do grabs, is to do a nose grab. Bringing the tip of the board in close to your body will give u a little more confidence to reach out there with your lead hand and get it, instead of having to reach down and grab it. Hopefully this will help u some. _________________ Only live once, why waste. |

Grab?
Do some big HS 180 into the flats this will get you used to letting go with the lead hand.....
Slap a slob or mute grab in there and you are good to go.
Invert?
IMO - you are not ready for an invert if you need to ask that question, it will come with time on the water. _________________ PEACE

Yeah practise using your lead hand to grab on big 180s, then think about doing the 180 but dont rotate adn instead go for the grab... soon enough it will become natural... justneed to keep thehandle in close for control thats all. _________________ Riding
