| Hey guys, i just got some good luck when a large floating dock beached on our yard during a storm. And with a little work i could turn it into a nice slider. Its about 15 feet long and made out of wood planks, i was wondering if any guys experienced in slider making could give me some tips as to what i could to to make it sladeable (PVC pipe, wax, etc.) Thanks |

| well 15 feet is an extremly short slider. my recomendation would be to use the as your base for a larger slider. |

| I don't know about 'super' but it sounds like it has potential. You have to make the slider structure and mount it on top of the dock, you can use 2x4 and 2x6 studs and just create your frame. You can use PVC piping for the slider matireal, there are some helpful hints somewhere on the slider page that shows you a couple ways to mount the PVC to the structure. Think about using 4" or 5" piping, maybe 2 pipes wide, and think about making it a half-rainbow so you can get a good transition out of the water on one end- it will also increase the slider length by quite a few feet. |

hey man if i were you id get two 4 inch pvc pipes. buy them 20 feet long. put them on one side of the dock at the edge. don't raise the pvc off the dock either. and have them hang over the edge on both sides at 2.5 feet. this slider will be good for nice little technical slides. then on the rest of the dock buy pvc sheets and cover the rest of the dock. that will be good for nose presses and other things just use your imagination. _________________ pointless crew is so insane. |

Yea i agree with Projectly 4
You could also use it to make the center section of a floating A Frame. I dont know if this has been done before but i think it might work. Good luck _________________ Ontario Rider
