I like the 55cm bar on all. Basically all bar size contols is turning speed. The longer the bar the more aggresive you can turn. However, you dont want it to turn too quick. I like to ride with one bar for everything. Having multiple bars would give precise turning speed for each size, but can get to be a little much when travelling.

If you have a small bar, it will be great for small kites, slightly slow on med kits and very slow onlarger kites. if you by a big bar it will be good on big kites, slightly quick on medium kites, and way too fast on small kites. So, for 4 lines I go with a medium bar, 55cm. Its perfect in the mid range, and only slightly slow or fast in large and small. For 5 line, I go a tad bigger.

I have a 60 I use for the 21nemi

but need another for the 12 and 16

So a 55 should cover me on the both?

What size lines on the 12 and 16,,,,,

shorter lines=slower ride right?

line legnth doesnt change the physical speed per se, but is changes the power, and the time it takes to get from top of the stroke to the bottom. A short line set makes the stroke shorter, so less power. The kite can get from the bottom turn to the top quicker because the arc is smaller, not becuase it is travelling faster. This is good for stuff like wave riding where you need to get to the top quicker for slashing turns or for big kiteloops where getting it overhead asap is important.
