ok i really appreciate all of your tips in my last post, where i asked what kind of board to get. One person told me to demo several boards, before i make a decision. I was wondering where i would go to demo a wake board. oh yah, if any of you guys are from the chicago area could you tell me good shops to go to.

whatever you do, make sure the cost of the demo -25-50 bucks goes towards the purchase of the board. I know of a few places that do that, but I'd hate for you to lose out on that cash money. Don't know anything about the chicago area though. _________________ http://www.airtimewatersports.com

rwpanfil -- I'm from the NW suburbs and there are several shops up this way that are top notch. Chicago SeaRay is where I buy my gear - they have Hyperlite which is the brand that I prefer. They demo for a coupla bucks a day and then your $ can go to the purchase if you buy. Across the street there is another dealer so that makes the trip very worth it. They deal in Liquid Force. But even better than them, is a bit farther north. www.bsboardshop.com they carry a great selecton of boards and gear PLUS they really support the scene by holding contests, demos, fun-days, etc. Come visist the NW suburbs and you will be glad you did. Whatever you do stay away from the giant stores - Sports Authority, Dick's, etc - they don't know crap about wakeboards.

if you can make it down to Ottawa on the 14th then Midwest Militia is hosting a demo day. Check out midwestmilitia.net for more info. The will be several different board companies so you can demo several different boards and bindings.
