WHEN PEOPLE LIST THEIR ROPE LENGTH DOES THAT INCLUDE THE LENGTH OF THE HANDLE PORTION?

I don't.
It's kind of like the way the Hawaiians measure thier wave height....from the back of the wave.
If I leave out the handle it makes people think I'm more studly! Laughing
J/K....Yeah, the handle should be included.

This is like the never ending discussion. After hearing this debate for years, my response is "My rope is at 65 plus handle, if you do not like, tell me, I'll change it." Otherwise, nobody knows what the heck the rope length is and this "debate" continues. It is like if two people steal 2 stop signs...

no.the handle is about 5 feet more. so if your rope lenth is 70 feet u are really riding at 75 feet! late

What about the distance from end of your boat to the tower, pylon, ski pole, or going off the back of the boat? Then do you add to account for that?

dont forget to figure in the angle of the rope from the top of the tower to the rider's hands

you may also have to compensate for rider height as well....like if a tall guy rides, then a short guy rides...might make an inch or two of difference, as the angle changes.

also, don't forget to add the length of the riders arms...some people's arms are longer than others, so we should try to avoid such confusion.
