Well I got my board racks on my Illusion tower finally. Problem is if I have two boards on there and I'm driving around the boards bang together. Not only is it annoying, I think it might damage the boards. Any ideas?

Are there supposed to be two bungee ropes on there instead of just one? It seems like with one on there it squeezes the boards together, making the problem occur.

our racks have 2 bungees per rack. The boards still bang against eachother in rougher water.. i thought it was just normal.. i dont think it will damage the boards or anything. My friends racks on his centurian knock also and nothing has ever happened to our boards so i dont think its a big deal.

Batracks should have a single strap. They just suck.

Keith,

This is what happens when you have people who don't wakeboard designing board racks for people who do. Unfortunately, you don't have much of a choice for the illusion since there are only a handful of companies making racks for that tower.

I suggest a quick fix that might work. Try taking a short length of rubber hose and slide it over the center prong of your racks. The rubber should space your boards out just enough so that they don't "chatter".

Hope that helps.

BINGO

If you notice racks like these from Fusion:

have a larger center 'tooth' thus keeping your boards from 'slapping' while riding. Unfortunately some companies just don't get it.... YET.

How do I get my hands on those sweet racks? Will they fit the Illusion tower?

Lightning Accessories makes a great rack for the Illusion Tower. Check it out. They also have this rack in polished.

Lightning's racks will (most likely) clatter. Center tooth is too narrow.

wakeboarder89 - Thanks. We're glad your happy with our racks!

Unfortunately, we haven't got around to designing an adapter for the Illusion/Blade tower yet. Should be soon. Also just noticed the picture I posted only appears randomly.....wierd.
