i'm 5'7 and 140 lbs.. not heavy at all.. i was wondering.. would a 139 be too long for me? what size would be more appropriate..

ive been trying to find boards with the bindings already attached because i am a beginner and have never done this before.. me and my family are just planning to play around with this since we snowboard alot..

if i was to buy just the board from ebay, and bindings seperate.. how would i know how to attach these? and does the bindings matter? is it possible to buy the wrong types for the board i would potentially buy?

The bindings attach to the board in the same way that snowboard bindings attach to a snowboard, just screw them in. A 139 should be fine, a little on the long side but it will be more stable to learn on. 2nd Hand/Ebay would be a good place to start or goto www.buywake.com and click onto their package deals section. There are some great deals on there.

Some boards are better than others. If you have any questions or are worried about the deal you may or may not be getting then feel free to post the links to the things you've found on here and we'll all help you out.

ebay is a great place to start,it was the only place that would sell cheaper boards and and bindings for a decent price, I have bought my board and bindings off ebay.
my friend got a new 04 Hyperlite Movement 140 with spin bindings for $130 if I were u that would be the first place I start looking..

It's pretty basic. Once you get the board you will easily see how the bindings go on. 139 would be alright for you but i would try to go a little smallerlike a 138

Yeah im your size and i ride a 136. Unless your gon grow to be over 6 foot anything from about a 135-140cm shoul work great for u. And if you are just starting out then i do recomend starting with somtin cheap, then when u know that u really want to keep progressing, go demo some stuff, gl with it

Ummm... If you snowboard a lot, you'll probably love wakeboarding. If you buy something cheap you'll probably end up upgrading before the end of summer, so I'd recommend getting something that will at least give you room to progress. Ebay is a good option if price is your main issue, but you may be able to get a better package deal buy purchasing from a shop. Check out Wiley's website (www.cheapwakeboards.com) and give them a call. Their bindings are great, and they have great package deals.

By the way, all bindings use the same inserts, so feel free to mix and match with different brands. Oh, and don't get a board larger than 140cm.

a 139 will be a bit long for you, but no harm done o would reccomed a 135-138, but maybe thats just me. putting the bindings on the board is easy. 2 screws per binding, pretty self explanatory. i second the suggestion of www.cheapwakeboards.com, they have good prices and packages. ebay wouldnt be a bad idea either.

ataris, The best option for you is to take a wakesurfer and drill holes for bindings on it. They don't make wakeboards for fatties like you.
