I have a Sony Handy Cam and I am using Adobie Premiere 6.0, i't starts to transfer fine then all of a sudden the droped frames sky rocket.

Any clue on how to to fix this problem?

more memory and/or faster processor could help.

also try turning off all non-essential programs and de-frag your drives.

i have a 2.4 gig pentum for and plenty of ram with a 80 gig hard drive

Well after running some tests i found out that my hard drive fails every test Seagate gives it and they are amazed my PC acttually turns on.

I will be getting a western digital soon!

That suggestion isn't bad though! Smile Smile

I'm not surprised that it was his drive. These days processors and systems are so fast that handling 25 mbs DV is just not that difficult but the weakest link in the chain is sill the drive.

Add another hard drive and setup a raid system.
