Search 'Parks and 1080' in General
http://forums.wakeboarder.com/viewtopic.php?t=15005&start=0
I'm sure you can break the pictures out, there are also a ton of threads.
RufioSwashbuckle do the same search, read about Mark Kenney (Josh R's posts). Parks hit the 10 in '00 IIRC, unfortunately he's been perfecting his Double HC roll instead of dialing 10's _________________

| Liquid*Force*Rider, it's 1999 I think....6 years ago. Back then, the lifejacket mandates in the magazines were not as strict. |

How come wbm has gotten lax on the life jacket issue. they were so gung ho about a few years ago, yet they now show lots of wakeskaters without jackets _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com

I have noticed that alot aswell, maybe because you aren't strapped to the board so you can swim. If you are attached to the board the board wil float up and force you down. _________________ www.Crawlinbc.com |

RUSSIAN,
I have noticed they have def. been getting lax on that as well...
I bet it has something to do with it they are hitting sliders (where a vest isn't needed, arguably) or in super shallow water, or in Mexico... but I haven't noticed any other connections?
Anyone else have insight into the whole lifejacket mandates in the magazines issues? _________________ out. |

Pope, there are alot of normal wake riding pics with most wakeskaters not wearing vests.
I personally don't think you need a vest with wakeskating. But WBM had this big campaign after Cordells death about people not wearing vests, but now they don't seem to care as much. _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com

Parks rode so much better before his board came out. When he was on the CWB/FM shape, he freakin ripped.

| B_Fool, i completely agree. i think hes just gotten better on sliders and wakeskating and given up on wakeboarding. he ripped so much harder in vids like shafted. no he just does ugly o/a tricks. |

The Headless Chicken, hes put on some weight and yea, hes gotten to where he thinks is a plateau so he is trying new stuff, even though I think he should be continuing to push wake tricks. Im sure he could land so much new crap if he tried. Like I dunno, raley to frontroll, double and triple S BENDS. Push BS spins to like O/A BS 540s or somethin. The list goes on and on |

Umm, maybe it's just me, but he's pretty damn good at wakeboarding as it is... not sure if he really cares about losing weight, and he certainly doesn't need to worry about getting better on the wakeboard... he's doing quite alright as it is... |

man i wish he would ride like he does in some of the old videos man, he just tears everything up, one vid i love is 12 honkeys, pretty damn good riding in that, no doubt he is incredible on a wakeboard but his mind isnt totally on boardin anymore, spreads his stuff out which is also amazing cuz he is still sooo good but can u imagine....if he focused totally on boardin _________________ Broke, Unsponsored, Carless, Broken donor cycle, 18 credit hours... and i drive to class wheeliein my sisters 49cc scooter... yea im bawlin |

| I just got the recent WBM and was looking at the article today. It is pretty rediculous that parks landed it 5 years ago and no one else has landed it since (on tape). It almost seems like WBM published this article to try and get the other riders to step it up and go for it. I definitly wont be surprised to see some of the other riders start sticking the 1080 in the near future. I guess the point of this post is to give props to WBM for getting the riders to realize the importance of progressing this sport and taking it to new levels. Once the 1080 is being stomped by most of the pro's who knows what will come next?? |

d*RU*nk, 1260! Haha
No really, maybe a triple backroll or double frontroll (TS) or as I say, the Raley to frontroll, totally possible. If I get good at raleys, i might give some Raley to frontrolls, which by the way I would like to name the MarkFlip (in honor of my friend who first sparked the idea on a HS wake jump gone wrong.) a try |

| d*RU*nk, hucking ugly spins isnt progressing the sport. bigger isnt always better. a lot off people today have learned to appreciate style over luck and hucking spins and flips. |

| i wonder the credibility of the caption. doster is credited to saying, "... parks just landed a 1080 first try". seriously, first try, i could see first day, but man it sounds like it's pushin it |

| The Headless Chicken, I do agree that style is what can make or break a rider and IMO a huge tweaked out grab looks better than a hucked 900 off the double up. But I'm sure the first person to try a 720 or a 900 had to "huck" it. Plus the more you try something the luckier you get. I think when more people start landing it they will incorporate their own style into the trick. I guess a 1080 would be more of a competition trick than something you would want to see in a flowing video part. But I mean hey, atleast if parks starts to try these in some competitions he'll stop doin the double half cab roll... |
