ya definetly take pics, and there are some contests around a place i ride at that are kinda like that but you just ride down a big hill and skim across the top of a 1-2 ft. pond thing. It's really fun if you can do it right.

Our hill has a waterskipping competition during the last day of spring riding. They create a “pond” that is about 70 feet long and 15 feet wide. They do this by digging a trench with the snowcats in a long pile of snow and lining it with plastic sheeting. They put a starting gate a reasonable distance up the hill. Snowboarders and skiers go down the hill one by one and try to ride across the water. Anyone who makes it all the way across moves on to the second round They move the starting gate down the hill a little so that it is harder to get enough speed to get across the water. They keep moving the starting gate until there is only one survivor. The winner gets bragging rights and a set of free season passes for the next year. It’s a helluva lot of fun but the water is not warm. This thought preoccupies the mind as you stare down from the starting gate at the big blue pond. There is always debate about whether it is easier on skis or a board. My profile photo shows me doing it.
