| I'd gladly drop 200 on a really sick(aka good) us coast gaurd approved vest. The vest i have now is bulky and distracting. What vests should I look into? |

There arn't alot of wakeboard vests that are coast gaurd approved.
The new TEN-80 Fracture Vest is nice. _________________ www.Crawlinbc.com |

I will say that I use the Liquid Force Hinge CGA vest.
It's not as uninhibiting as a non cga vest, but it's WAY better than my old cga neo.
I would recomment it, and it's around 100 bucks. _________________ I walk 47 miles of barb wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie, a brand new house up on the road side, and it's made out of rattlesnake hide |

JetPilot makes the Stance vest and the Cellblock.
Both are USCGA and fairly comfy.
I have the Cellblock and its got back support, so its snug on the waist area, but the upper part is narrow and not obtrusive. It sort of feels like I'm wearing a belt-type vest, not sure if that's a good thing or not |

Good luck getting most people on here to agree with you there. Gloves = as uncool as possible... |

That alone should make you just take my advice and get the LF Hinge. _________________ I walk 47 miles of barb wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie, a brand new house up on the road side, and it's made out of rattlesnake hide |

I switched to a non-CGA vest when available last year and picked up the JP A10 recently. CGA are too restrictive to me and don't form fit to where I feel comfortable. _________________ (insert funny chit here) |

| I tried on the O'Neill Law and Mental. Both felt way better than my old vest (about '98 O'Neill). Law is about $130. Mental about $160. I think I might go with the Mental. |

Jet-Pilot CellBlock. It's the lightest CGA vest I've tried on so far. Buywake's got '04's on close-out too. Just get a size smaller than normal as they run BIG. _________________ Take A Rip! |

| i tried on pretty much all of the new lighter thinner cga vests and my favorite was the law but i bought the cell block cuz i got a kick@$$ deal and would have to say the cell block is comfy as hell. i tried on the project and didnt think it was that comfy or flexible. see if you can go to a shop where you can try on all of the vests because they are all shaped different and its what vest fits you not what vest fits the memvbers of wakeboarder.com. so just try on the cell block, the law, the project, the hinge, and murray's full metal jacket.(i think thats just about all the newer lighter cga vests but i may be missing one or two. |

I think your best bet is one of those early '80's waterski belts.

Are gloves still un-cool if the air temp is 40 or lower and the water temp is in the 40's also. Cause I wear them when it's cold like that but other than that yeah I agree gloves are pretty lame. _________________ ......and one time at wakeboard camp. Come on people say something original. |

Guess what it boils down to is the best vest is whatever fits you better. Similar to boats. Try em out and get one that fits you. _________________ (insert funny chit here) |

I tried the law on, it was nice, but now im trying to find a local shop (local to stockton, ca.) where i can try on a JP Cell block. I'm pretty sure that I am going to go w/the Cell. I tried on some of the non-cga vests at larson marine..wow they were a lot more comfortable than the cga vests. _________________ www.norcalwake.com | www.integrity-wake.com | www.chriscut.com |
