Just wanted to find out if anyone has riden on the Sac river in the last couple of weeks? If so, was there a lot of debris, how was the temp, etc. It is starting to look like Folsom is not an option because it is $200 for a season pass, and $15 for a day pass.

Yes. It was fine. A little cold in my 3/2. A few sticks here and there, but rideable. Not many boats beyond fisherman. Fun stuff.

The river is always going to be cold. Dont see any really hot days in the near future either.

I have a neoprene top that i use but that doesnt keep the bottom half warm...

Main concern is all the floating debris. Water still appears a little high from the looks of I-5 and has the appearance of Chocolate milk.

I'd wait on the river just a little bit longer. A lot of the wood is not visible.

Folsom has crews that remove the major debris to the shoreline. That's what I remember from when I worked out there...

I'm used to riding on the Delta, so it didn't seem too dirty to me. We were on a friend's boat, so he mostly had to worry about submerged wood. I guess you could hit it riding, but we mostly stuck to the middle. All in all, a good day.
