Cbrown, howd you get your 05 VLX wake like that! What is your set up!!!!!
This is mine, (kinda distorted because I did a little floater like thing)
2005 VLX, wedge down, 250 lbs in center, 200 lbs left rear, driver, 2 people on left side. |

LFADAM, wedge down, approx 5-600 pounds in the back locker a 500 on the passenger seat and a 350 on that seat as well, and two people plus the driver. The entire bench seat a long the side was taken up with two sacs. Trust me with people it only gets bigger. Also this boat really really likes weight in the back as compared to the older Vlx that liked it distributed throughout. |

Thanks! Ill try to imitate that as best I can next week. I dunno if you saw the warning but the back lockers arent supposed to have more than 75 lbs in them.
How fast do you do when surfing? |

Yes I saw the warning about the 75lbs but have if you think about it the fat sac distributes its weight over a wider surface area than a person. If you have ever done any work to you boat or had work done to it ex oil change the service person stands back there in that are to work on the boat. The guy that works on our boat weighs in at 215-220 and that is distributed in a much smaller area.
Speed that day was at 10mph and also do not turn at all. |

just get a pair of fat sacks and you'll be good. good enough with only driver on boat. average speed between 9.7 and 10.5. steer either straight or angled a little towards the side you want... (in our case, we have to or we'll run into the shore). but if u have all the room in the world, just turn more and you'll get a fatter wake. |

Here is my Avalanche from last night. only 10ft of water in our local lake. The wave gets bigger when I go to deep water lakes. |

Here's ours. It's a 23ft Centurian with no ballast - just a bunch of guys in the back corner. |

Wow, that Centurion wake looks amazing. I've only ridden behind like a 2001 SAN, and the wake wasn't really that good. I need to get into something like that. _________________ Go Cougs! |

oshensurfer, If it makes you feel better, after I took of the suit I noticed my tapes were disintegrating. To get the stuff off me, I jumped in the water. Did you know you can bounce off of water if it's cold enough?
We are going to Folsom sat afternoon, you want to go? _________________ Steal My Book

J-Ro, Yep. I'm down and you're a freak for getting in the water in trunks. 57 degrees. NOt super cold, but cold enough to retract the landing gear. _________________ (insert funny chit here) |

got to go out to bullards today with a lot of people on the boat and finally got the wakesurf wake dialed in on the right side. Had the wedge up, 8 people in the back of the boat, 100 pounds of lead in the rear locker, and the ballast full on that side. The wake was perfect.
theres two pics of my little brother, and two of my dads friend who just learned that day.
edit: oh ya, this is behind an 05 malibu vride |

All of those wakes are tiny compared to the 06 vlx surfer wake. We had the wedge down about 5 guys on one side and no additional weight. The surfer wake was up to my shoulder |

05 Calabria ProV, standard ballast (both full) and 750lb (not all the way full) sac in the port locker. I'm just dropping in and not at the bottom yet, but it's a very respectable wave...oh, I'm 6'1" to put it more in perspective... |
