i'm new to the sport and i was wondering what effect that tip shape has on the board performance. i realize that a begginer shape and an advanced shape are going to be drastically different, but i was just curious.

thanks

i wouldnt really woory too much about tip and tail shape. look more at fin configuration rocker line and width. there are so many different shapes that its really hard to characterize each one. round tails give more pop, square tails give more speed, and weird shape tails track better.
