Ive been doing alot of excusions outside the DFW area to find different places to ride. I really like the Texas coast, but fell in love with the Yucatan. Where have you guys ridden and which have been the best locations? Ive been to SPI, Corpus, Tx City, and Isla Holbox, Mexico. _________________ TONA

Come out to Dubai, we'll go to Masirah in Oman, 25-35 knots, for about 4 months straight (24 hours). Its also an island with alot of lagoonss, so one side is flat water, the other is perfect waves. |

Jason,
I talked to your brother yesterday and he says he won't kiteboard anymore because he doesn't have health insurance???
What am I missing? It sounds and looks like a lot of fun. What is so dangerous about it?
I like fishes but I don't feel like sleeping with them anytime soon. |

Its really no more dangerous than any other board sport, but doing anything like that without health insurance is risky. He wont wakeboard either. If he breaks his leg wakeboarding its pricy as well! So he sticks to golf.
You should go and get a lesson from Charlie over at Windsurfing Sports. It really is alot of fun. Sometimes learning can get tedious for wakeboarders because we all want to go out and start doing our wakeboard tricks instantly. However, kiteboarding is riding and driving at the same time, so you will spend alot of your first few sessions, just learning to ride, and turn and edge. Then you want to learn to go upwind so you dont have to walk back up the beach. Then you start learning to jump and it gets really fun, really fast.
It really is 75% kite flying and 25% wakeboarding. Since you already know how to use a wakeboard, all you need to know is how to fly the kite. Flying a kite is easy as well. You will have it down in 10 minutes. The majority of what Charlie will teach you is the safety stuff and how to relaunch the kite when it crashes and how to get yourself back to shore if you break something, etc.
I just got in from riding all day. I snapped my favorite board. _________________ TONA

That sucks about the board. I am pretty slammed until this semester is over but when it is done I will give him a call and try to set something up. |

Yeah, weve been getting wind every day, and with daylight saving going on now, I can get on the lake and ride from 4pm til dark at 8pm. So, Im very sore since I feel obligated to ride when its windy cuz you never know how long it will go without blowing. We are headed to Padre this weekend. Ive been on 11m the last three times Ive been out, and Im 200lbs! _________________ TONA

yea, that's one thing that sucks about dubai, we don't have daylight savings, so the latest you can kite all summer is 7:00, and seeing that i don't technically get out of work until 6 and work a good 10 minutes from the closest beach...stealth sessions are somewhat difficult |

Whats up Cezza? I have a cousin who moved to NZ several months back. I want to come check it out sometime. Any good places to ride? When is the warm and windy season? _________________ TONA

Yeh bo come check NZ out ul love it! im not exactly sure on the best windy seasons are but im guessing its good around oct-dec when it starts to get really hot and it tends to get windy as the season changes. i live in the north island and thers a few lake around here and all over NZ. if your in the middle of the north island if you go east or west to a beach it will only take you around 1.5 hours, so yeh if your into kiteboarding at the beach. _________________ eNMesh clothing

If its within 30 days they certainly will. They have a 30 day money back guarantee, so if they didnt, you would just send it back and re purchase it. If you do, use the link in my sig so I get a hookup! haha!
