I can get an '05 cwb flame or an '05 hyperlite state. Maybe, as a last choice for lack of bindings the 3DS cuz i love riding that board. My friend has one. He's a lot better than me. Enough rambling, which shall I choose?

BleedingDead, the Flame is basically an Absolute from last year.

Sick board no doubt about it. Once you go CWB you probably won't go back.

Oh, by the way - on a more serious note, I voted for the Flame. I haven't riden one, but if its basically the Absolute, than it's gotta be a sick board. The Absolute Platinum is one of the nicest boards I've ever had the pleasure of riding.

Well, My problem is I am a pretty well accustomed Hyperlite rider, which everyone has their own brand and stuff, but I want to be able to get some bindings with the board. The 3DS is so damn sweet to ride, but like $400 w/o bindings. As opposed to both the State and the Flame are like $400 with bindings. See my dilemna? I have bindings, they just aren't very good and I would like to get some new ones for sure. But also to throw another possibility in is that my buddy with the 3DS has 2 pair of '03 Parks bindings and he says when he gets a new pair he'll sell me the old ones for dirt cheap. But I don't know when that'd be cuz this kid has been getting a new boat for the two years I've known him if you know what I mean.

BleedingDead, umm, any brand of bindings will fit on either board.

All I can re-iterate to you is that the FLAME was a "pro-model" just last year.

The CRUTCH...err...I mean STATE is a marketing tool that HYPErlite has developed to suck in more beginning riders.

If you have any problems with the above sentence, I kindly direct you to my signature below.

BleedingDead, LF Alpha, LF Ultra <- both inexpensive (relatively) and great.

What size are you? I have a pile of NICE bindings left over from 04. I also have a pair of Double-up and CD PS01's.

I rode the Absolute last year (this years Flame) and loved that board. Such a fun shape & faster than this years. Like mentioned above get the Krux, there is a reason that a bunch of CWB riders are choosing them. Super comfy and at a damn fine price to boot.
