Lake Mead update

I don't know if anybody cares, but Lake Mead is up about 15 feet so far this year - Spring runoff hasn't really started yet.

On the north end (Overton Marina), the water is about half-way back to the Virgin Basin. If we get good run-off this year, we might be in better shape than we were at the beginning of last year.

the Overton ramp looks to be in good shape - water is high enough that you can fit about 5 loaders / unloaders on the ramp at a time. Being that people in Vegas usually don't know how to back their trailer, this means that maybe 2 boats can load / unload at a time.

The water is f-ing freezing! about 65-67 but there were boats out there and people riding.

Also, the resevoir in Overton (with the rails) is at full capacity. I was just able to take a quick glance at it yesterday so I wasn't able to check if the rails are still there, and if they are in good condition. Judging by their foundations that were exposed last year, they're solid. The ramp at this place sucks (crappy asphault / mostly sand), but that's nothing new. If you have slicks or street tires, don't even try it unless you've got an extra truck to tow you out.
