I'm new to wakeeboarding n I've jus got myself an '05 LF Evo 138 with Sphynx bindings. I feel very comfortable with this setup (alhtough I have never tried any other setup) I have only been out on the water twice but already spend the week thinking about the next time I am getting out on the water. I am going to try and get out every Sunday. So far I can only do the most basic tricks like surface 180's and slides on the wake. I can catch little amounts of air but when I try to cut hard into the wake it always ends up as a big faceplant rather than big air.
I jus want some feedback on how long it takes on average for you experienced riders to progress onto big tricks like inverts, tantrums and raleys? I have the waketrix DVD and am tyring to progress in the order that it shows you to... |

| Whenever you first start riding you'll probably get the urge to go riding every week atleast or you'll freak out. Anyways, i've been wakeboarding for about a year and i can already do hs fs 180s ,ollie 180s, Switch FS 540 Surface spin, Backside 360 surface spin, and 50-50 a rail. And i only have a jetski. I'd estimate 1-2 years to land your first invert, especially if you have a good boat. Raleys might take longer. |

Thanx Hyperlite23. I get a decent wake out of my boat... My goal is to invert within the year. I hope that is realistic. i have started practising inverts on the trampoline with my handle and thats going okay... I am also looking too get a balance board to keep me active in boarding when I cant be out on the water _________________ Shout out 2 Muz... Will never 4get you mate... |

| Another good instructional Dvd is Dentention Volume 1&2. Inverts might be a little difficult to learn in a year, but with practice and luck you could probably pull it off. Easiest invert i think is the Heelside Backroll. |

Tried on a few pairs on at the shop. Sphynx were clearly the most comfortable. When riding they feel like normal sneakers. They can get a little painfully tight after a while of riding but my mate said that is only until they are worn in. Highly reccomend these boots. (they look great 2) _________________ Shout out 2 Muz... Will never 4get you mate... |

Hawksebury river is the closet. At Windsor. But my mate has a weekender house at Summerland Point. (At the central coast on Maquarie Lake) Always sweet riding there. You ever ride in Sydney cezza? _________________ Shout out 2 Muz... Will never 4get you mate... |

hey, mate........I've always wanted to say that (so they really do say mate in Australia)....anyways, yeah you definately got the wakeboard itch, i used to get moody if i went too long without riding, but now I've got that under control........I'd definately recommend getting your switch riding down ASAP _________________ |
