Boat steering!

I have a calabria pro-v. I recently replaced the prop and now wen I have going above 35 mph(maybe less) and I let go of the steering wheel the boat veers to the right. I am not sure if this has done it before but I don't think so. I can feel resstance on the steering wheel like I am fighting the steering wheel. COuld it be the prop? Or does it have anthing to do with the power steering?

yep, it's OK. Rudder style boats hav a "postive feed back" steering. With a rudder, if it didn't pull one way or the other, you couldn't keep it on-line easily.

Remedy? Don't let og of the steering wheel ! Mr. Green

Well, after having it in the shop for 3 weeks I finally found out that:

1) Drive shaft looks good
2) Tracking Fins look good
3) Rudder is slightly bent causing the pull to the right.

I just realized that I can have the insurance pay for it and the prop that I bought.

Sucks that I won't have it for the 4th at this pace.
