I saw this cool video here:

http://www.wakepics.com/view_single.php?medid=14160

(there's 2 times that he uses the same effect in the vid)

and Im wondering if anybody knows what plugin you use to create the 3d wrap around "matrix" effect...

Any ideas?

there is not an effect that does this. what they did was shoot the video. then cut to a rider laying on a green screen. and then chroma keyed in a background (that didn’t match really)

if you look at the shots that are really close up to the board. you can see that they are also green screened in. this is noticeable mostly because of the difference in lighting on the board. and in the video back drop that is being played behind it.

there is one shot of a guy grabbing like a tantrum or something. that is super close. this shot was probably shot just on a trampoline cause all the camera gets is sky. this is actually a really convincing shot. if they guy was not totally dry. they should have hosed him down so water was flying off of him. that is actually good idea.

interesting to see a first attempt at doing this. if it was done really well this way it would look pretty real. but they hold the shot in the "matrix" style just long enough for you to realize that its super cheap.

the real way this is done is they have 35mm SLR cameras placed in the path that they want the shot to take ( a circle, or around and up to over head) then they rig the cameras to a computer and make them all shoot one frame in sequential order.
