05 is slower because of the increased rocker and it is not as loose (larger molded fins)

Definitely different. I like it now that I am used to it.

Nope. My timing off the wake was jacked up do to the sloweness. Once I got used to it I was fine.

I got the 05 cause I broke the 03'. If I had a choice of riding the 03' or paying for a new 05' I would ride the 03'. Just my 2 cents.

Blabelmooch, little did you know that you could have bought the Pure....

Anyhow, ar230border, the 05 has a 3.1" rocker (141). It's freaking huge and it does put you more up and out IMO.

BUT,

If you see a deal for a 03 Ab Plat I wouldn't hesitate - that is a killer board with plenty of snap, but you won't want to ride it finless (if that's even your thing).

I say go for it, you can't really go wrong.

Didn't get to demo and I figured it would be great, which it is, just not better than the 03'.

The price was right so it didn't matter anyway.
