Anchoring a floating slider on a steep shoreline?

Hey guys, new here but not to the sport. I am thinking about building a floatable, low rainbow for our big lake trip this summer. I built an in ground one last year, but the clay/dirt/sand/redwood etc shoreline was insanely difficult to pound 4x4's into, even with the ends turned to a point. I think a floatable might be easier and more versatile, but my question is how to anchor it. For another familiar with Bullards Bar in NorCal, the shores are fairly steep, probably anywhere from 25-45 or 50 degrees near where we set up camp. How do i go about anchoring my slider safely on this steep shore? Another thing is the lake is drained about 6"-1' every night, so while we had a good locaion for the in ground rail, it was hard to install and was out of the water after only 1-2 days. Thanks

anyone have any ideas? just a lot of anchor line and some cinder blocks?

Cinder blocks are fine. If its steep then maybe snorkel down to where you want to anchor it and make a terrace with like a sharp rock in the slope. This way the anchor wont slide. Or you could bury the cinder block halfway so it wont slide.

I would guess to use decent strength rope because if the water level fluctuates, anchor it so its pretty tight at its lowest. This way the whole thing wont move around too much at low and at high, the line will have tons of tension because the barrels will be trying to float but the line will hold it down therefore making it very secure. Thats why you need decent strength. Or else the rope would snap at high level. (That or the anchor would move)

Yeah dude I have got the same problem with anchoring my slider when it gets finished. The Shuswap has very few shallow areas, and where I am planning on anchoring the rail is 30 ft. Then it drops down to 60 ft if you go out 5ft more. So in some rough water I might come back to a thrashed project . Good Topic
