Just wondering who has put aftermarket speakers on the CC flight control Tower, do I need to drill holes or are they already provided? I just made the final payment on a 2001 pro air and it's staying in storage until the snow melts. I plan on mounting the (2) Kicker B600 speakers found on the monster tower this spring and decided to post this to get some opinions, thanks guys. heres a pic of my new baby...

Wow, awesome looking boat.

There should be a hole already at the front port Tower mount, if not its easy enough to make one.

If you do need to drill a new hole. You will need to unbolt your tower from the deck and drill from the outside in, DO NOT be tempted to do it the easy way and drill from the inside of the deck outward. you will chip your fibreglass badly - it will look a mess but can cause a weakness at that spot over time - never good considering the strain that goes to that point of your deck.

While the tower is still unbolted drill holes u at the top of it where the KB600's will mount. and then drill again ont he front of the leg where it has the joint. the wire needs to exit the tube and re-enter here (leave about 1 2/2 to 2" from the end of the tubing). then run it down to the foot and into the boat deck.

If you want it to look really nice use rubber gaskets at each hole to cover the rough metal. also cover the speaker wire where it leave and re-enters the tower with some black heat shrink tubing. The rest is childs play - just hook it upto your sound source and you're away Cool

Take your time and go for it... theres no real skill involved, just some patience, an hour or so and a few beers. Very Happy

thanks man, should I use monster wire also? The company said that it sounds better, but I am wondering if it is actually worth the money.

NOPE, just use a nice quality OFC (oxygen free copper) wire.

Once you go past a certain grade it will make pretty much no difference.
just be sure it has a good quality covering so it won't shred up on any rough edges it may come into contact with.
