I hate when people do this, but here goes. I can't make up my friggin mind... a '04 Centurion Enzo new for 40k, or a '04 Malibu Wakesetter LSV 23' with a 380hp engine for 40k with 28 hours on it (looks brand new). I like the snap out carpet of the centurion for the saltwater I ride in, but I hear more reliable stories from the malibu. In your own personal experiences, not what you've heard, which would you buy? I'm kind of leaning towards the Malibu....grrrr.

| We're looking long and hard at buying an LSV also... probably a week away from making a final decision. We've taken it out for a cruise along with 4 other boats and it was a great ride and plenty of space.. Cant say much about the enzo except from what ive seen in brochures.. if we had a reliable centurian dealer out here we probably would have demo'd it also. |

I actually haven't demo'd either yet (stupid) but I will be this weekend. 04 Enzo, then 04 lsv, then 03 super air nautique. I'd like the super air the most I think, but my wallet doesn't agree so much. I guess we'll see. _________________ http://kmags.mybrute.com/

kmagnuss, odd. Why are you demoing that combo? The SAN is like a fish out of water compared to the Enzo and the LSV - it's a much smaller rig. I would think the 226 would better fit in with the other choices. _________________

You are absolutely right. But when I've driven/rode behind the SAN I just love everything about it. I'm not so sure how it would do in the chop of the gulf of mexico, but I might be able to put up with it. I dunno, I guess we'll see on Saturday.
On a side note, I'm surprised nobody has come on here bashing Centurions. From what I gather they seem to have left a bad taste in everybody's mouth from their older boats...but the around 02 and newer boats people seem to like alot more. I hate all these decisions. _________________ http://kmags.mybrute.com/

| My buddy actually has a 98 centurian v drive decked out with a tower and everything. Couple sacks in it and its a great ride. Runs great and has seemed to be pretty reliable the last few seasons.. only minor problems.. ie the impeller was shredded somehow but was fixed in a couple hours. |

kmagnuss, the Enzo's hull design is going to ride a bit more smoothly in the rougher water i'd say...it does carry a deeper "v" design through the hull from bow to stern. The snap out carpet will be a bonus as well. With the 330 hp. (Scorpion i'm guessing??)...the boat will do quite well. The 380 hp indmar will feel a bit more responsive, that's for sure.
In my opinion, you will get a great boat either way... |

kmagnuss, I would NOT recommend the SAN for that type of use. Stick to the Enzo, LSV, Tige 24V, etc. - Basically the larger wakeboats. Also, think long and hard about closed cooling.

Happens all the time. Impellars should be replaced every year if possible - you can push to 2 years in some cases. _________________

04 lsv 380 hp 28 hours for 40k seems like a steal to me.
