I know that they suck for sliders but just for doing spins and stuff are they okay?

If you are not doing sliders they are definatly fine. Some people still even use them on sliders. They are definatly good for normal riding though.

On sliders they get ripped off.

Even if you don't spin on them. If your a big guy and you land all your weight on a fin it will get crushed.
