It will help break the board loose and slide better. It might be a little loose feeling at first but you will probably like it better once you get used to it. It will also teach you how to get a better edge.

i did the same thing with my first beginner baord. i got rid of those huge, plastic black fins and put small, metal fins on. it was a little loose at first, but i liked it a lot more once i got used to it. good luck with the switch.

If you use your edges properly you shouldn't have too much of a control loss, though the board will feel more loose.

hyperlitewakeboarding, im pretty sure the metal fins are basically made so they don't get destroyed if you are hitting sliders. I went from the normal plastic fins (or whatever they are made of) to the hyperlite a wings (metal fins). To tell the truth if you edge well you won't notice that much of a difference. The main difference you will feel is the difference of the size of the fin, not the material.

If you still want the same hold on edge as a huge fin, go with multiple small fins like the LF Trip or Team. I have a trip 133 and when you throw it on edge it wont slip but if you want to lipslide or surface 180, you can break it loose with ease. Im not sure if you want a completely different board, just something to think about.

Idea Arrow Wakeboard finless teaches you to use your edge properly...Once you have your edge down and you do it with fins you'll be able to cut like O.J. Simpson...
