|
|
So I stopped by the Sports Authority this morning to pick up a trampoline cover, and I decided to check out what was in the watersports section, and came upon this.....
I have been wanting a skate for a while, so I kind of took it as a sign and bought it. It was originally priced as $99 but marked down to $29 because of all the blemishes. I guess it's used? The pictures make them look a lot bigger than they are, but either way does it really make that much of a difference?
My other worry was that it's too big for me. It's a 42 - I'm 6' and 150 lbs. I haven't really looked into what the right size was for me or anything so I'm not really sure. I didn't really care at the moment because I was so amazed I came upon one for so cheap. I made sure I could return it before I bought it, so what do you think?
Thanks

Seal the exposed edges with a high grade marine sealenat and ride that thing.
If it doesnt ride well hang it on the wall and make up some story.

| Thats a good deal. You should re-paint it. My skate use to look like that . I paid 20 bucks for it, redid it, and its looks brand new.

| its the right size, make sure you use laquer to seal that so it wont warp, that board its a couple years old, but for 29 bucks its a great deal, especially for your first skate, so if you dont like it your only out 29 bucks.

Tall Girl, size doesn't matter on skates, and 29 is a great deal for anything still rideable, just go buy a can of clear polyeurethane and tape off the grip and spray it down then sticker it up(if you so desire) and shred the gnar

| Tall Girl, chances are that wasnt used. i usedto work at a sports authority. and jerks, um i mean customers ;mrgreen; , destroy those things. riding them on the floor, dropping them on shelves, etc. thats why its all scratched and dinged. i got my HL Scape, from sports Auth the same way. it ride like a champ. just seal it up and go.
