Generally speaking, is it easier to do an Ollie 180 while riding switch or regular? The reason I ask is that I a left footed and ride goofy. So, my left foot is in front while I am riding switch. It seems like it might be easier (I can ollie 180 with no problems with my right foot forward) since my stronger leg will be in front. Just curious. Thanks and sorry for the stupid question.
In general it's easier to land in your stronger position. So anytime you're trying 180s it's easier to do them switch because the landing is the most difficult part and you're landing in your stronger position.
The more you work on riding switch the easier it will be to land regular 180s.
I'm not sure the left footed makes that much difference. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone.
Why don't you try inside out wake jumps with a 180 - just ollie off the wake into the flats. You'll get a bit of extra pop without taking anything huge and can practice small switch landings that way.
I find its easier to pop regular to switch, but the landings are cleaner on switch to regular. I learned switch 180's and regular 180's by going inside/out off a big
Ride switch. Ollie switch. Hit your boardslides in every direction and exit out 180 every time. In time, it all just comes together!
