I'm assuming he's pro, right, if not then I'm screwed! Also it looked like right when he hit the wake he flattened out his board, am I right?

| Ctipping, we won't go there...there is the official version, and the unofficial version. Look it up if you want, there have been threads on this before. |

| That guy was the man!! He was like 17-18 in that video. The unofficial version does not deserve the breath it wastes to say it, it's false!! He had an allergic reaction to a pain medicine he'd been prescibed (for fractured ribs), and passed away in his sleep. How about the air slim chance! That was nutty. |

it's pretty disrespectful to even allude to the fact that there is an "unofficial" version of someone's death.
some of you people care way too much about being the masters of wakeboarding knowledge... |

bowen, if you were trying to be respectful, why even bring it up?
Yeah kenny ripped. I remember watching him at the 1999 Aussie X games, when he was like 15-16. Did an absolutely massive Beesting (hoochie vulcan to fakie). Beat Parks, all the dodgy aussies, zane shwenk and a few other US pros.
He did everything big, clean and smooth.
Oh BTW, if thats the video that im thinking (some snowboarding at the start?), im pretty sure he's a bit older than 17-18. I think a fair bit of it was his last year in the US. Quite a bit of it is on the Kenney Tribute video. |

after seeing that first 9 off the double up in that video I would believe anyone who said he landed multiple 10's. I had never really seen him ride before that...i was speechless _________________ www.Shadrack.com

Well he passed away at 19. So if he wasn't 17-18, then he was 18-19. Sue me.
Here's a link to a bunch of pics and a few more videos. The videos are from the PWT in Irvine that most agree Mark should have won. They gave it to Ruck despite Mark absolutely destroying the competition. Switch mobe 20ft in to the flats, so sick...If anyone can find his finals run that would be tight.

Mark Kenney was in my opinion the most influential rider of my generation. screw the official and unofficial versions of his death. what matters was his talent and the way in which he pushed our sport, whilst having an awesome time.
RIP Kenney, but not forgotten. _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |
