Uploading Video and playback speed

All the Videos I have uploaded off my Camera play fine on my camera but as soon as I Upload them and try and play them in Windows media player they play at like supersonic speed. Can any one give me a clue as to why and how I can remedy this. Thanks

Are they mpeg or .avis?

And what version of Windows Media Player are you using?

sorry it took soo long to respond.. Their Mpeg's and its the newest version of WMP you can get.
