hey, i was just wondering if any body could help me, ive just started wakeboarding like a month ago, and so far i can do 180s. whats the next level after this cause i really wanna learn to do inverts. ohhh i also dont have one of those fancy boats that u see in the x games and that with the tower and all stuff. are people still able to do flips and stuff easly on a normal ski pole.
thanks .

First off, its not a stupid question Very Happy .

Sure you will be able to do inverts behind a boat like that. One thing though, you definatly are not ready for inverts yet. Keep practicing though.

You need to learn how to:
Be able to butterslide, and do surface 180s.
LEARN TO RIDE SWITCH
Be able to do ollie 180s
Clear the wake HS and TS consistently
Then probably w2w 180s hs and ts

Once you get to about there i say you can go for a backroll or tantrum. You could go ahead and try a backroll or tantrum if you want, but the more you practice before, the easier it will be.

Also, you NEED to learn how to ride switch well. So many people don't do this and it hurts them in the future.

Hope this helps. Laughing

Listen to colefooter, we've all been there, it's easier to learn to ride switch from the beginning than to try and learn it later. Especially when you're throwin inverts and falling on a ts 180... that gets embarrasing. You will be a MUCH better rider if you learn the basics from the beginning and progress slowly.

i have a ski boat with a relatively small wake and inverts are still possible, if you want to get a bigger wake for more air weigh your boat down, i use a huge cooler and fill it with water. Also, you should try hitting some double ups.
