I ride with one fin in the front, it makes it easy to switch it up, but I prefere the finless usually. Behind a cable I always ride finless, not need for fins there. I find that riding a wakeskate finless give me alot more control of the board when I stap in. _________________ ODPC |

i used to ride mostly finless but thats when i had a flat cassette, but when i got the 4-trac i have been riding with the outside fins cause it seems like a better tide with the concave shape(if that makes any sense) _________________ "We forget in life that we are not human beings living a spritual experience, but spritual beings living a human experiance."

I tried finless today on my 41" concave, second time I have tried it, and took the HARDEST fall on a fs shuvit coming off the lip. I stomped it but came down front foot heavy and a little closed, I tried to edge out of it and a milisecond later the back of my head was smacking the water- seeing stars, dizzy, the whole works, on a SKATE! I have never felt so much pain on a wakeskate.
Fins for me, we ride at about 22 to keep a good wake and its just too hard for me to lock the thing in when its finless. Edging is fine, locking in landings is freakin hard!!!! Anyone else feel my pain or do I just need to spend more time on the thing? |

| I ride the catalyst 112, and it feels like its gonna slide out from under me all the time. I think it would be fun as hell to do surface spins and such, old school style. But until you really start really going on edge during your turns and building your confidence going off the wake its best to keep the fins on. Another tip from Snap, is to make sure you are edging all the way through the jump from takeoff to landing. |

| Its actually easier for me to go w2w without fins because the fins make the board catch at the wake and buck it off, but without fins the w2w is just smooth. So I ride without fins for both tech and w2w. Plus without fins you have to have more board control and thats what Im goin for anyway. |
