| Is it bad if I had more fun with my 99 dollar scape wakeskate than my 500 dollar wakeboard/binding setup? I felt like a fool after I wakeskated for the first time, I had so much fun, I spent the whole day without getting on my wakeboard at all. Now I'm considering buying an actual decent wakeskate such as integrity and wondering if I'll ever get on my wakeboard again...Anyone else know the feeling? |

| unless you're just bored of wakeboarding you'll come back to it. Wakeskating is so challenging that as soon as you stop making progress you'll enjoy wakeboarding again... that is unless you're bored of it, in which case you'll just keep tryin at the skate. Then you'll probably fall into what you like the best after having a good taste at both. |

| Nothing wrong with liking to wakeskate, you will probably want to hop on a wakeboard some other time though. Sometimes you just need a break from wakeskating and you will want to wakeboard. |

so you have a $500 wakeboard set up, but you seem really happy on a $99 wakeskate, so why go out and spend $300 on a new skate right now. You just started. Get some skills under you and then opt for a better skate. It's not the skate that makes the skater.
Hope you've tried wakesurfing already or you'll need to tac on another $200-$300. |

| Good point wakebrad, my HL scape has served me pretty well, even though I can't stand the foam, but I was planning on giving it to a friend to get him hooked, and I have plenty of time to wait for new wakeskates to come out as well for prices to drop hopefully. |

| Speaking of good wakeskates, is the LF armada available with grip tape? All i see is the foam option, can you remove foam and regrip yourself? |

SMCboarder, I had a really long, detailed post about why you should buy a cassette instead of LF, but it got deleted on accident... how you should buy from a rider-owned company... better quality boards... innovative... corporate sh|t heads trying to steal your money... hyperlite wakeskates suck... so do LF's... get a cassette... it's important where your money goes in this industry... cool to see someone make the same transition I did (wakeboarding-wakeskating)... get a cassette... did I mention that hyperlite wakeskates suck?... get a cassette _________________ ...island style... |

| SMCboarder, People are mostly telling you that your going to wakeboard again. Thats what I thought, I bought my first set up liked it a lot, saw a wakeskate tried it out and fell in love, went out on the wakeboard for like 3 more sets then quit wakeboarding and have been wakeskating ever since. <3 wakeskating... |
