So I'm looking for a new camera and I have it narrowed down to these three; Canon GL2, Sony VX2100, and the Panasonic AG DVC30 Please give me your opinions on theses camera good or bad.

heres the goods and bads from the three as I see things so far.

GL2

Good:Compact, lightweight, and 20x lens.

Bad:

VX2100

Good: Low light performance,

Bad: a little bigger then the other cam, also a lot more spendy

AG DVC30

Good: price is lower then the other, great reviews

Bad: top handle doesnt have controls, mic is located on the camera body(might pick up tripod noise)

I'm really surprised that you didn't include the Panasonic DVX100a in that list. It's the camera I'd pick out of all of those listed. The Panasonic GS400 is really nice if you want to spend less money.

The truth is that any of those will give you excellent results since they are all very good cameras. You need to decide which features are most important to you and then make a choice.

JamesWatts, the 20X zoom on the GL2 IS optical, that's one of the big selling features of the GL2. It's digital zoom is 40-100X.

The GS400 rocks!
