I am sorry to have to ask this... I am sure it is posted elsewhwere, and I even asked in one of those threads, but no one has replied. My question is when uploading it does it time out on anyone else?
It seems the problem I am having is after I hit the submit button, it appears to be uploading then after a wait the bottom of the page will say done as if it was sucessful, yet the video isn't showing in my gallery. I am wondering if I am doing something wrong or if others have had this problem. Thanks and sorry in advance for starting this thread.

Your video should be about 3-4mb/minute. If not please refer to this:

use DC's video compressor if your video is big it works so well! even if its not that big, using it will make it so much easier to put online. i have gotten 60 meg videos down to about 12 megs using that.

you're tutorial was super helpful, but I ran into a dilema, the problem is that I am still running windows ME, and I can't install the compressor program 'cause it only works with windows XP and 2000. Know of any other good programs?

There's an older version 7.1 that you might try using which you can download here: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/16656

The Interface is a little different on v7, so I found this tutorial which is straight from MS. Scroll down to page 7 and look for the section titled "Converting an existing video file"

http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/9/c/49ca5c33-3e87-40ce-813b-e6f288349657/WinMediatutorial.doc

Your bit rate settings will still stay the same. (around 250 - 400+ kbps)

I ran the 7.1 edition and that dropped my file size to like 12, but still when I try to upload, it just doesn't work, any ideas? Again, it runs for about 2 minutes and then just returns to a blank upload video page without having added it to my gallery.

Alex, does it ever ask you to choose a thumbnail image for the video? Do you ever see that page?
