I thought I heard something about this from the recap of Surf Expo this year, but looking back I am having troubles finding anything about it. Was I just dreaming when I heard about this, or can someone point me in the right direction for info about it.

Thanks!!!

When Grubb came to our slider park in the summer he was sporting the Lilipod - a waterproof case for Ipods so you can ride while jammin'. I've also seen a couple other products, so you're definitely not dreaming.

The Lilipod is $40 US. http://www.lilipods.com/lilipods.html

Here's a place that sells housings for Ipods and other mp3 players:
http://www.h2oaudio.com/products/index.php

And I know there was a company who makes a player that's waterproof itself (it was in WBM), but I can't find the site.

I don't think you can. My guess is you'd have to set up a playlist in advance.

There is also another waterproof housing, with waterproof headphones that lets you access all teh controls. Its just a bit more bulky...

too bad it leaks because that would be really cool to be chillin in a pool listening to music (better qualit underwater haha) and be able to change the song and stuff.

I actually saw that the company that gave them the bad review is giving them a temporary reprieve because the company apparently forgot to put in the final sealents into the first units sent out.....So we will see if it does work or not - it would be cool if it does.

Wakesk8er1234 - my friend just got a Lilipod and it doesn't come with headphones. You can get them online at a number of retailers.

that would be so awesome to actually swim underwater listening to music. i can imagine snorkeling while jammin to some tunes underwater haha. i doubt those things would hold up in salt water let alone clear water tho.
