|
|
I'm looking into a new 2002 centurian hurricane It has the storm 2 package. This package includes a stock 3 tank ballast system, CD changer, Tower, racks, etc... Anyone know much about the wake on these boats? The boat seems cheap for no hours for 31K. Its a V-drive and it looks sooooo sweeeet! Any info whould be helpful.
Thanx, Millertyme |

I just purchased an 03 in Jan with
350 efi
3 tank ballast
pp pro
hydraulic wake plate
pilot one (depth finder)
upgraded stereo
upgraded gelcoat (crayola graphic)
cover
tandem trailer
1yr warranty
For 31,700 out the door tax and everything included so I think you should be able to get it for a little better price, but I think I gota sweet deal from the show IMO.
The wake is really nice, to me anyway (everyone has their own opinion though) It doesn't have quite the pop my old 88 2001 nauty, but then again what does? I'm not going pro anytime soon so this wake is more than plenty with an extra sac in the bow. The wake has a nice ramp and is easily cleaned up with the wake plate option. This boat handle the chop like no other and was very solid.
I purchased one this winter after test driving several boats in and above it's price range. To me this boat fit our needs perfectly. |

Hey r3612,
You said you put a sack in the bow. Which sack? How much weight does this sack hold? I have been contemplating adding bow ballast but the way the cooler sits up in the walk way makes it hard to just lay a sac on the floor. I have been thinking about putting side sacs under the bow seats but they would only fill to I estimate about 150 each that's only 300+- lbs. up front. Also can someone tell me how much the factory sacs weight on each side of the engine?
I just bought an 02 hurricane in November, it has the stock center ballast = 25 gallons and I am just looking for ideas on adding more ballast thanks to all. |

We just put a v drive sac on the seat when we were test driving for ease, but when we ride now we put t side sacs under the seats and fill hem as much as possible. This gives us about 300(what I estimated also) and some change. I'm probably going to go with lead if I can get some cheap. So i'm looking to keep around 3-325 up there.
I think all three tanks total around 700lbs but I'm not 100% on that.
